Reviews
I am very pleased that I chose to see Mr Freeman who seems to be the only person I have seen about my Morton's Neuroma who actually treated the cause of the problem. He carried out a gastroc release, with the intention of relieving the pressure on my foot (which had led to the neuroma). It is only 7 weeks since surgery but the symptoms have certainly been relieved to some extent, and I am hopeful that in a few more weeks, I will be almost fully restored to my pre-neuroma state, which would be wonderful. Mr Freeman explained things clearly without being patronising and without making me feel at all stupid for asking a few fairly basic questions. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a consultant and surgeon.
Mr Freeman took great care to explain the procedure and any potential risks. He was very kind and reassuring. The outcome of my ankle fusion has been wonderful, although I have to wait another four weeks until I can walk without the protective boot, I have a foot which looks completely normal whereas it was severely deformed.
I would thoroughly recommend Mr Freeman.
Quick to diagnose the foot problem I had and was able to arrange an operation within a few weeks of the first consultation. Does not confuse with too much technical jargon and carried out the surgical procedure as he described. Aftercare was very good.
Richard Freeman is a brilliant surgeon. He has an understanding and engaging manner with patients and possesses a dry sense of humour. He also the gift of exposition which he uses to great effect when explaining the nature of injuries, their causes and timescales for recovery.
I had complete confidence in him and would recommend him without reservation for any orthopaedic surgery.
Mr Freeman operated on my foot in January and it has been a total success for me. My target walking distances over the successive months after surgery have all been met and I'm really happy with the outcome. This is especially good as it was a repeat of a similar operation performed by another surgeon at another location some time ago.
He has taken care to listen to my (few) concerns, taken them all seriously and given me sound advice.
All in all I'm really happy with the treatment and post-operative reviews and advice given to me by Mr Freeman.
